Elizabeth Bagaya to represent Uganda at Miss World 2021

The CEO of the Miss Uganda organization took to their official social media to announce the representative of the country to the upcoming edition of Miss World. Elizabeth Bagaya is Miss World Uganda 2021 and succeeds Miss World Uganda 2019 Oliver Nakakande. The 2020 edition was cancelled due to the covid-19 virus.

Elizabeth Bagaya took to her official social media to reveal her emotions in a post captioned, “I am beyond joyed to tell you that I am going to represent my beautiful country UGANDA ???? in the 70th Miss World that will be held at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan. I am so excited to be a part of @missworld family which is the biggest platform for young women to be world leaders, fearless, advocates, exemplary, nurturing, bold and be an INSPIRATION to many more young girls. Thank you. Thank you to everyone that has supported me and still is. Mweebale can’t wait to take on this amazing journey with you all.”

 

 

Elizabeth Bagaya was adjudged as the first runner-up at the Miss Uganda 2019 pageant. She was announced as the interim Miss Uganda 2020/21 in April 2021 as replaced Nakakande who was not able to perform Miss Uganda duties because she had to return to school and could not strike a balance.

Elizabeth Bagaya is 26 years of age and holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. She is a make-up artist by profession. Bagaya was also running her Bagaya Elizabeth Foundation that helps to extend financial and mental support to children at Butabika Hospital.
