The prestigious Miss World Zimbabwe 2017 concluded on 22nd July 2017 in Borrowdale Brooke Golf Course, where Chiedza Lorraine Mhosva was declared as the winner. But, the organization faced criticism from the people of Zimbabwe, right after the finale.

As per the reports, the pageant fanatics and former models could not make it to the contest because of the ticket price they had set. The ticket price was around $300, which the people and even the models could not afford.

The audiences were shocked when the host did not deliver that needed ‘wow factor’ to the contest. According to the reports, the contestants were not capable as they did not know how to speak or even walk. On the other hand, some of the performers for the show did not perform as per the people’s expectations.

Fans also complained about the way the ZBCtv news reader, Rumbidzi Takawira, popularly known as Newsbae handled the show. She had a tough time on the mic and showed that she was unprofessional when it comes to hosting the show.

The judges had a tough time deciding on the winner as well. Chiedza Lorraine, however, walked away with the crown, and a cash prize of $20000 dollars and a brand-new car.

According to the sources, the pageant ended abruptly after a double cab driven by a drunk man rammed into the marquee, almost hurting children sitting there. The incident took place around 2 am during the after party at the venue where Killer T was performing. The party was then stopped and people were left with no choice but to go home.

All in all, the contest went low as per the expectations of the people. Well, whatever had happened during the show seems quite upsetting. May they come up with a stronger and well-planned competition next year.
