At the denouement of Miss Zambia 2017 (Miss World Zambia 2018) held at New Government complex, Zambia, Musa Kalaluka was declared the winner and she will now represent Zambia in Miss World 2018. Miss Zambia 2016 Mary Chibula passed on her reign and crowned the new queen Musa. She bested 12 other contestants to win the title.

Musa is 20 years of age and is a model by profession. She has plans to continue advocating for the senior citizens and widows because she believes and understand how they are mostly neglected by the society and need more than charity help. During a social work task to drum up her campaign towards the grand finale, in August earlier this year, Musa volunteered at a village in Chongwe District. She took care of senior citizens, widows and orphans and also donated groceries and other notables to them.

She was dressed by Kabaso Nkandu Yoram on the coronation night and could not stop gushing after her euphoric win. I am delighted to have won, and I didn’t expect it. Only God knows how I felt at that moment. I’d be lying if I said I did this all alone… I’m overwhelmed by the love and support I received throughout my journey,” stated a tearful Musa during a red carpet interview shortly after being crowned Queen.
