Reinado Internacional del Café 2020 aka International Coffee Queen 2020 has officially begun in Manizales, Colombia with the arrival of all the beautiful candidates competing this year. The girls arrived in Colombia few days ago after which they have been quite busy with various events and activities. They were given a warm and colourful welcome by Feria de Manizales, a parade ceremony held at the 64th Manizales Fair. This is a very auspicious ceremony for the locals of Manizales.

Recently an event was held in the Manizales fair where Panama’s Britani Osbourne was awarded the ‘Reina de la Policía’ title while Colombia’s Valentina Duarte was elected ‘Virreina de la Policía’.

Britani also expressed her gratitude over this achievement as she took to her official page while saying, “I have no Words to describe what I feel at this time, Thanks to the Colombian National Police for choosing me as their representative. Thanks to God for this achievement. There is still a lot of work to do, I am enjoying this wonderful journey but above all putting every step I take into God's hands”.

The International Coffee Reign is held annually in Manizales, capital of Caldas (Colombia). In the traditional Fair this beauty pageant is developed, as a tribute to the most important product of the national economy, which has defined the identity of our region and has forged the social and economic development of the Coffee Axis. With its aroma and flavor, coffee has captivated the palate of all who have been motivated. The contest of music and folk dances was organized, title obtained by the teacher Ramón Cardona García with the bambuco Nostalgia.

Reinado Internacional del Café is amongst the oldest international pageants in the world. It was first launched in 1957, as Reinado Continental del Café or the Continental Queen of Coffee. Later on, other countries from America and other continents were included and the named was changed to the International Queen of Coffee, or Reinado Internacional del Café.

This year’s coronation night of Reinado Internacional del café is set to take place on 11th January 2020 where Scarlett Sánchez Pinedo of Colombia will crown her successor. Till then do stay tuned to know the latest happening of the pageant with us.
