Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has added another feather to her accomplished cap as she recently won ‘Best Host’ and ‘Best Show’ awards for her show ‘Pia’s Postcards’ at the 18th Gawad Tanglaw or Tagapuring mga Akademisyan ng Aninong Gumagalaw. Pia’s Postcards is aired over at Metro Channel on Cable TV and replays are also posted in YouTube.

Pia started her own travel show last year and one of the features she made was her return to her hometown Cagayan de Oro in time for Higalaay Festival including a visit Sinulom and Bethshean Horse Park. Pia also took to her official social media to announce it in a post captioned, “Yesterday I woke up to amazing news that Pia's Postcards won best travel show at the 18th Gawad Tanglaw and I got best host. Akalain mo yun? Nagiimprove na hosting skills ko guys! hahaha! I am so grateful. At dahil dyan naisip kong gumawa ng collage ng mga naging destinations na namin.. starting off with.. Philippines!”

Ever since her coronation five years ago, Pia has achieved so much in her life. Just recently, she joined Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray for the second season of “Bahay Book Club” to narrate the Filipino stories for the younger generation. Pia will read the story of ‘Maria Makiling’, which is about a nymph named Maria who teaches two men a lesson.

Pia advocates about empowering and raising awareness about the Filipino culture and traditions among the youth of the country. She also hosted a quick live session on the last day of the Pride Month with Zozibini Tunzi where she shared her story by stating that her entire family lives in the UK and her ancestors have been a part of the LGBTQ community and they have raised her in that way. We wish her congratulations for achieving another feat in her life.
