On July 21’ 2016 the Miss Universe Thailand Organisation hosted the Preliminary Competition for the 2016 contestants, wherein the delegates walked the stage donning their evening gowns and swimsuits. The 40 stunners of Miss Universe Thailand 2016 strutted their stuff as they sashayed the ramp all confident and smart.

The reigning Miss Universe Thailand 2015 is Aniporn Chalermburanawong, who was crowned on July 18, 2015 in Bangkok. Anipron represented Thailand at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant and made it to the Top 10 finalists, making Thailand's first placement in eight years, and first Top 10 in 27 years.
