Sexy, fierce, gorgeous and grand don’t even begin to describe the beauty that went into this preliminary round and it just shows how ready the contestants are to make a mark in the finale of Reina Hispanoamericana 2018 that will be held on 3rd November 2018 in Bolivia.

Reina Hispanoamericana Ecuador 2018 Lisseth Naranjo Goya won this preliminary round and it was well deserved. She wore the national dress named “The Black Healer” and looked mesmerising as she strutted on the stage carrying an intricately designed headgear, a gold and black colour detailed figure-hugging bodice and a beautifully painted cape. Her hard work and determination payed off as she was announced the winner of the round.

The event also saw Honduras and Mexico making a significant contribution in the preliminary round as they also became the Top 3 finalists in the Best National Costume round. Reina Hispanoamericana Honduras 2018 Laurien Daniela Villafranca Gamero wore a costume that was named “Night of the Jaguars” and went on the describe her costume on social media, writing, “The jaguar, sacred animal of the ancestral Mayan culture. Symbol of power and war, protector of the night in its fight against the evil beings of the underworld. This being the inspiration for this allegory adorned with the colour gold and red and emerald crystals, framed with a colourful plumage turning it into a theatrical fantasy that pays tribute to a man's protective being.”

Reina Hispanoamericana Mexico 2018 Aranza Anaid Molina Rueda was also in the Top 3. Her costume depicted the Mayan God Quinich Ahau who is the God of Sun and the Protector of Time. Aranza’s costume was created by hand and represented the essential fruits of Mexico, like corn, bean, tamarind, mahogany and exotic birds like pheasant, hummingbird, turkey and rooster tail. She looked really beautiful in the costume.
