Philippines’ Michelle Arceo donned ‘Carnival Del Mar’ national costume at Reina Hispanoamericana 2023 at the National Costume Competition held in Bolivia. Her national costume is designed by Er Stephen Alvarado. The costume is a masterpiece that serves fresh and vibrant symbolisms of the Philippine festival culture

Arceo performed well along with other contestants at the competition. The stunning Filipina beauty also described the importance of the national costume. “The Philippines is a hub of rich and vibrant festivals that inspire people to come together in awe-inspiring displays of wonder and color. The costume is the Mardi Gras inspired carnival ensemble, the joyous colors seen at the distance”, she wrote on her official social media.

“The captivating shades of aquamarine, orange, and purple highlight the stunning contrast of Philippine sunsets mirrored in the crystal-clear seas. The strategic arrangement of pleated fin-like structures, coupled with intricate crystal embellishments and the meticulous precision in crafting pearl and bead fringes, beautifully highlight the essence of marine life—a symbolic representation of prosperity and wealth. A fitting tribute to a country known globally as The Pearl of the Orient”, she added.

Reina Hispanoamericana 2023, the 32nd edition of Reina Hispanoamericana, will take place on 28th January 2024 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra , Bolivia where Reina Hispanoamericana 2022 Arlette Rujel of Peru will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
