Laura Aguilera of Ecuador crowned Reina Internacional del Cacao 2022

The 3rd edition of Reina Internacional del Cacao was held on 30th March 2022 in Panama, where stunning delegates from all over the world competed for the international title, which aims to promote the chocolate industry among its participating countries. The contest aims to highlight the quality and purity of cocoa.

 

 

At the end of the event, Ecuador’s Laura Aguilera was crowned Reina Internacional del Cacao 2022 whereas Philippines’ Jerelleen Rodriguez won the Reina Internacional del Chocolate 2022 title. This year’s court includes –

First runner-up – Kauane Nava of Brazil

Second runner-up - Gennesis Padron of United States

Third runner-up - Jaqui Gomez of Mexico

 

 

Maria Laura Aguilera is 20 years old and stands 172cm tall. She won the title of Reina del Cacao Ecuador 2021 in April 2021 She is a tourism student at ESPE and her hobbies are reading, painting and enjoying the catwalks. Apart from the international title, she also won the Miss Prensa title.

On the other hand, Jerelleen is a professional instructor, CPA and an aspiring lawyer. Not new to pageantry, this Filipina has has competed in various beauty pageants in past such as Binibining Pilipinas 2018 where she won the Miss United Continents Filipinas 2018 with her stunning performance. She also holds Miss World Nasugbu, Batangas 2018 under her belt. Jerelleen represented Philippines at Miss United Continents 2019 but unfortunately, she could not place in the Top 20. Rodriguez became the first Asian to win the Reina Internacional del Chocolate title in the Latina-dominated competition.
