The grand coronation night of the second edition of Miss Cambodia beauty pageant held on 1st September 2017 at the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Naga World, concluded with the crowning of Rern Nat (Rern SiNat) as Miss Cambodia 2017. She will now represent Cambodia in Miss Universe 2018 next year.
Rern, who is just 21 years of age, has worked as a DJ on ABC Cambodia, and now she is working as a model after having participated in the Freshie Girl 2014 contest. She hails from Kampong Cham and is a beach lover.
She defeated 19 other finalists to take over the crown and the reign from Miss Cambodia 2016 winner, By Sotheary. Cambodia is making its debut in Miss Universe this year, with Miss Cambodia 2016 By Sotheary to represent her country in Miss Universe 2016, and Rern, the current year winner, will compete in Miss Universe 2018.
Her court included - Keo Senglyhour (19) from Phnom Penh (first runner-up), Kem Sreykeo (20) from Takeo (second runner-up), Long Punleu (25) from Kandal (third runner-up) and Kha Annchhany (19) from Kampong Cham (fourth runner-up).
Other finalists who competed in the finale of Miss Cambodia 2017 were Sovann Vorleak, Yom Sreybee, Phal Sophanika, Thoung Mala, Thol Sreynich, Kang Sambathny, Phay Ravy, Soeun Doungchan, Ly Voucheng, Ly Sokphirika, Un Sreysros, Rith Tibpisidereasey, Koy Sotheara, Say Sreyleang, and Yom Sreymuy.
