Road to Miss Nicaragua 2016 has officially started. On January 11’ 2016, an event was organized to shortlist the finalists of Miss Nicaragua 2016. During the casting, three girls were given the green light to join the other set of official candidates who are yet to be announced.

According to sources, there are 3 more castings to go. But three official candidates have been finalized as of now to represent their region at the Miss Nicaragua 2016 Pageant. They are; Michelle Lacayo (26), Virginia Chow (19), and Jahaira Rosales.

At the end of the pageant, reigning Miss Nicaragua, Daniela Torres will pass on her crown and reign to her successor. Daniela Torres was crowned Miss Nicaragua 2015 at the culmination of the splendid finals of the national pageant, which was held on March 7’ 2015 at Teatro Nacional Rubén Darío, Managua. She was crowned by her predecessor Marline Barberena, the Miss Nicaragua 2014.

Miss Nicaragua (or Miss Universe Nicaragua) is the national beauty pageant of Nicaragua that select representatives for the Miss Universe and Miss International, and other international pageants. Finalists from all over Nicaragua are selected to compete for the coveted title.

Miss Nicaragua 2016 (or Miss Universe Nicaragua 2016), will be the 35th edition of Miss Nicaragua pageant. However, the pageant date and time is yet to be announced.
