Registration for Miss World Kenya 2017 ongoing, auditions on May 27 and 28

Miss World Kenya 2017 has started accepting applications from candidates vying for the Miss World Kenya 2017 title with a deadline of May 26th 2017 for the registration. Buoyed by the success of Miss World Kenya 2016 Evelyn Njambi in Miss  World 2016, the pageant organizers aim "to grow even bigger and better this year!"

Evelyn Njambi finished amongst the Top 5 in Miss World 2016 and was crowned Miss World Africa 2016. She also won the Beauty with a Purpose award. National Director of Miss World Kenya franchise Terry Mungai takes pride in previous victories and notes the importance of Beauty with a Purpose title.

"We have dubbed this year's event the Grand Evolution - which is a celebration of our journey through the years to become Kenya's most successful, prestigious and impactful pageant. The Beauty with a Purpose is a category that sets apart Miss World Franchisee from all other franchises in the world, it emphasizes on beauty with brains which is an aspect that enables participants to make an impact and change the lives of those in their immediate society.", said Mungai.

Terry called on all eligible girls aged between 18 and 26 years with required specifications to come and be counted, and come and be a Queen of Substance. Auditions round for Miss World Kenya 2017 will be held at the Two Rivers Mall, Nairobi on 27th and 28th May. The shortlisted candidates will be announced on 6th and 7th June, followed by a boot camp from 25th June to 2nd July. The grand finale of Miss World Kenya 2017 will be held on 15th July at the CK Square at the Two Rivers Mall.
