The Organisation is working in full enthusiasm and energy to meet Guyana’s next beauty ambassador. Miss World Guyana looks out for ambassadors who are smart, beautiful, confident, and possesses the will to make a difference in the lives of others and contribute to the development of Guyana.
The Miss World Guyana 2016 pageant hasn’t even started and fans have already started picking out their favourites and hopeful winners. A renowned Guyanese model, Tiffani Bonner is the current favourite among the Guyanese crowd, and rumours say, she can be the next Miss World Guyana. Another Public Favourite is the girl named, Poonam Singh. She is currently a law student and a very popular signer within Guyana. Another stunner, who a lot of Guyanese pageant enthusiasts are hoping and praying enters the pageant, is Lieve Blanckaert. She represented Guyana at the 2015 miss India worldwide.
The first Miss World Guyana title-holder was crowned on May 26, 1966. Since then, the pageant has been held on May 26 every year to commemorate Guyana’s Independence. The organisation prides itself on ensuring that contestants embrace the true meaning of independence; that they live purposeful lives; that they seek peace, unity and empowerment. The Miss World pageant is one of the most recognised and publicised beauty contests in the world, and also boasts the largest number of participating countries.
