Sharon Jagesar was crowned Miss India Holland 2016 during the 13th edition of the glittering final, held on February 27th, 2016 at the Atrium in Den Haag. She will now represent her country at an Indian Princess International pageant.

The winner was crowned by Shaïsta Thakoersingh, Miss India Holland 2015. At the same pageant,  Ashvita Jakhari was adjudged the first runner-up while, Rachana Dwarka was titled the second runner up.

Sharon Jagesar is a student of HBO, and her inspiration behind winning the pageant was,"I want to fight for justice and equality. I think mainly for senior citizens. We partly owe to the generations before us. Young people are our future, but we must respect our elders as well.”

"Everything what I have come from inside me. Without my personality I would not have been where I am. I want to raise the bar for the girls in our society, so they can do their best to bring out the best of themselves "said Leyden Veense.

Miss India Holland is an annual beauty pageant for Dutch women of East Indian descent. The election was conducted since 2003 and the pageant was organized by the Foundation for Indian Culture Society. One of the goals of the Miss India Holland Election is to provide a platform for women to exhibit their talents and built a career in the field of modeling and television world.
