Miss Portuguesa 2017 is scheduled to be held on 29th July 2017, and at the conclusion of the finale the winner will represent Portugal at Miss World 2017. Cristiana Viana, Miss Portuguesa 2016 will crown her successor. The organization is keeping the contestants occupied with various events and activities. The pageant kicked off in Lisbon and there are a total of 24 participants competing for the title.

After competing through various segments including swimsuit, talent and evening gown, the girls competed through a sports challenge. Based on their performance, the following were announced as the Top 3 of the Sports Challenge –

One of these Top 3 finalists will earn a spot at the Top 10 finalists list. The Top 10 finalists will be announced at the finale of Miss Portuguesa 2017. The contestants are currently residing at the Puralã Wool Valley Hotel & Spa in Covilhã. They visited the oldest wool manufacturer in Portugal, which first started to operate in 1620. They also learned a few things about the history and architecture of Covilhã. As part of their Preliminary Activities, the delegates attended a fashion show with costumes created by local fashion students.
