The gala event of Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico 2016, also known as Miss World Puerto Rico 2016, held on March 18' 2016 concluded with the crowning of Stephanie del Valle as the winner. She succeeded Keysi Vargas, Miss World Puerto Rico 2015. At the same event, Miss Dorado was adjudged first runner-up, Miss Morovis was titled second runner-up, Aguas Buenas was named third runner-up, while Miss Cidra was titled fourth runner-up.
Stephanie del Valle represented her province ‘Toa Baja’ at the pageant, and defeated 28 other contestants to clinch the coveted crown of Miss World Puerto Rico 2016.

Stephanie del Valle looked breathtakingly gorgeous donning a silver shinny gown during the evening gown segment. She is tall, beautiful, and her personality is so delightful that she was one of the favourites among all the contestants.
During the pageant, several other mini competitions were also held such as Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico 2016 ‘Top Model Challenge’. At the culmination of the competition top 6 finalists were selected by the juries, who were: Elijah Rodríguez Fernández (Salinas), Nobiraida Zoet Infante (Las Marías), Stephanie Del Valle (Toa Baja), Jovanska D. Molina Maltes (Arecibo), Stephanie Prieto (Mayagüez ) and Stephanie Román De León (Dorado).
The splendid pageant was judged by the renowned personalities, like; Luis Archilla, who is a Lawyer, singer and a businesswoman, Co-owner of the Hotel San Juan, Andro Nodarse-Leon, businesswoman Maria del Pilar Rivera and manager of communications and advertising Gatsby, Laura Reyes Priegues.

However, Puerto Rico’s first and only win at the Miss World was when Wilnelia Merced Cruz won the title of Miss World in the year 1975. Ingrid Rivera, Miss Puerto Rico 2005 & Amanda Perez, Miss Puerto Rico 2011 both won 2nd Runner Up crown for Puerto Rico at Miss World.
