Miss Global Philippines 2017 is moving towards its finale in full swing and the gala coronation is scheduled to be held on 24th June 2017 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila. The winner will represent the country in Miss Global 2017 with the new host country to be announced soon.
22 beauties from all over the Philippines are vying for the coveted title this year, and the contestants are competing through different segments to mark their placement at the finals. Talking about the different preliminary activities of Miss Global Philippines 2017, recently the Swimsuit Competition was held at La Carmela de Boracay. Contestant number 15 Mary Anne Mungcal was awarded Best in Swimsuit. Contestant number 18 Jacqueline Mayoralgo and Contestant number 19 Dianne Santiago were awarded the runners-up slot.
Earlier, the contestants spent the day doing fun activities on the beach before preparing for the swimsuit event which is considered as an important segment of the Miss Global Philippines pageant.
“This year we have gathered another batch of beauties who will surely give a tough but entertaining competition as they begin their journey for the coveted title,” said Pauline Sofia Laping, Miss Global Philippines CEO and national pageant director. “We are very glad that the relatively new beauty pageant is steadily finding its hold in the pageant arena. As we prepare to crown the next Miss Global Philiipines winner, we give our grandest salute to the new batch of candidates and bid them the best of luck for showing the country and the world the true heart and soul of a global Filipina,” Laping added.
Miss Global Philippines 2017 winner will serve as a tourism ambassador to promote the Philippine heritage and its world-class destinations in Philippines and abroad. The winner will represent the country in the 2017 Miss Global pageant, which aims to provide a powerful platform to unify women from all parts of the globe by allowing a more diverse selection of qualified women who can be a true global icon to females from all over the world.
