Arzuw Annaberdiyewa elected Talyp Gozeli 2020

World’s second most isolated country Turkmenistan held its only annual beauty pageant Talyp Gozeli 2020 earlier in the month where 18-year-old Arzuw Annaberdiyewa was elected the new queen. At the pageant, young girls from universities across the country participated to showcase their intelligence and talents.

Arzuw is a student of Turkmenistan Medical University and performed with absolute confidence and sincerity at the national contest. She is an amalgamation of intelligence and hard work which she portrayed through her performance. Along with her, out of the twenty beauties that participated in the pageant, second and third places went to Bossan Murzayewa and Jennet Atayewa respectively.

The beauty contest was organized among the university students for the International Women's Day by the Turkmenistan Ministry of Education, Mahtumkuli Youth Union and Women's Union. Finals of this competition were held in Ashgabat.

Students selected from higher education institutions compete in the final stage. In the final stage of the contest, the candidates demonstrated their intellectual and communicative skills, knowledge about the culture and traditions of the Turkmen people, creative skills and culinary talents. Talyp Gozeli is Turkmenistan's longest running and only beauty contest televised nationally. Turkmenistan has never sent a representative to any international beauty contest.
