Tommy Lynn Calhoun won the title of Miss Arizona USA 2017 during the state pageant finale held on October 30, 2016 and is ready to represent her state at the Miss USA 2017 pageant. Tommy Calhoun never believed that she could make it to the pageant ever, but it was a proud moment when she received the coveted crown in Mesa, Arizona. Excited about the Miss USA 2017 pageant Calhoun says, “I had an incredible time with the staff & Miss USA State Titleholders! I learned so much about each of my fellow contestants & the caliber of women the USA has to offer!! I can't wait till our next event together!”

Calhoun, 26, represented her city Tuscon in the Miss Arizona USA 2017 contest and is one of the very few girls from the south Tuscon to win this title. She doesn’t shy away to say that, she had a very rough childhood and left her house because she was constantly bullied by her family. She was then adopted by a loving childless couple during her teens, but it was tough for her to adjust there for some time. But she thanks her past for making the woman who she is now.
Her peers and friends call her “Jane of all Trades” and someone whom they can rely upon. Calhoun believes in the quote, “Adapt, Improvise, Overcome” and that’s why she wants to be a role model for all those homeless girls who dream to become a better person but have lack of opportunity and motivation. Calhoun is a positive lady and says, “I don’t want anyone to succumb to being a product of their environment.”
After winning the Miss Arizona USA 2017 crown, Tommy Lynn Calhoun has done several charity programs where she spoke at length about self motivation and overcoming major obstacles of life. She also recently took part in the New York’s Fashion Week where she was loved by the audience and this has only made her more confident to compete in the Miss USA 2017 pageant which will be held this summer of 2017.
