On February 23’ 2016, the Miss World Guyana Organisation announced its Top 10 finalists who will be move ahead in the race to become the next Miss World Guyana. All the ten regional ambassadors of Miss World Guyana 2016 look promising. The 10 stunners who will compete for the coveted title of Miss World Guyana 2016 are - Divya Yabindranauth, Najuma Nelson, Marva Langevine, Ariella Basdeo, Ashmini Ramnauth, Marleena Ramdass, Treasure James, Nurriyah Gerrard, Damallie Jackman and Tiffany Bobb- Semple.

Guyana has had a decent placement record at Miss World. The proof of it lies in the fact that the organization has now decided to introduce few changes in the pattern of Miss World Guyana 2016. The Miss World Guyana Organisation has decided to eradicate the swimsuit competition from the pageant, in their effort to follow the Miss World competition. The National Director and franchise holder of Miss World Guyana, Natasha Martindale, stated that the Miss World Guyana Organization will replace the Swimsuit Segment with a Regional Dance Segment, following it to the Dances of the World segment. The 10 finalists will need to prepare and perform a dance signifying their respective administrative regions in which they will be representing, this includes presenting a costume.
