Miss Universe Colombia has sailed on its ship to explore its representative for Miss Universe Colombia 2016 edition. After the exhaustive castings, the organization came up with 6 beautiful candidates from different provinces of the country. The finale of Miss Universe Colombia 2016 pageant is slated to be held on November 14’ 2016 whereby Miss Colombia 2015, Jealisse Andrea Tovar Velasquez will crown her successor in the city of Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.

The Miss Universe Colombia pageant, also known as Señorita Colombia is the national beauty pageant of Colombia and it will be the consecutive 64th edition of the esteemed pageant.

While few other province representatives are yet to be announced with their delegates for Miss Universe Colombia 2016, here are the first few shortlisted candidates vying to fill the shoes of Andrea Tovar-

The coveted pageant has been held since 1934 and is responsible for selecting the country's representatives for Miss Universe contest. The winner will step into Miss Universe contest and the first runner-up will go on to other international pageants.

Colombia has held a terrific record at the prestigious Miss Universe in the last few years; it has produced the latest Miss Universe winner in 2014 - Paulina Vega, and first runner up in 2015 through Ariadna Gutierrez.

Presently, Andrea Tovar is considered a tough crown contender for the title of Miss Universe 2016, hence it would be interesting to see who shall walk home with the crown of Miss Universe Colombia 2016, striving to give Colombia yet another luminous placement at Miss Universe pageant.
