Age UK Charity shows off its gratitude to Miss World Organisation for 'Winter Warmth'

A British famous Charity Organisation ‘Age UK’ which is known for its kind efforts for the vulnerable elderly people of the United Kingdom has expressed its gratitude to the Miss World Organisation for its welcome donation which helped to keep the elderly warm during the cold winter months.   

£10,000 was donated to the foundation and for the commendable amount over 500 individuals benefitted from the donation given in the form of “Winter Warmth” packs, which were distributed across the nation.

The packs which were provided to the senior citizens included a fleece blanket, a hot water bottle, warming soup, a thermo mug, a thermometer and thermal support – all packed together in a reusable Velcro sealed bag.

“The packs were greatly received and were especially beneficial to those whose homes were currently undergoing repairs and were without heat for a few days. Although a short term fix, they proved to be very efficient in keeping the service user warm and well during this time.” - (Local Age UK worker)

The ‘Winter Warmth’ packs were delivered as part of Age UK’s Warm Homes program, which ran from September 2015 to March 2016.

The organization also delivers home energy checks to those most at risk for cold-related illness, including the installation of energy efficient equipment, which also saves money for older people.  

Miss World Organisation wishes a lovely warm winters to the elderly people of UK.
