Ever since the official announcement about the Miss Universe 2016 was made by the reigning queen Pia Wurtzbach, the whole world has been talking about it, especially about the odd timings. While the 5am timing of the pageant went viral and the netizens couldn’t stop reacting to it. Here is something that will make your wait for the finale worth it.

The finale of Miss Universe 2016 will have a musical performance by a well known artist with Filipino roots. Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo didn’t name the artist and only mentioned that the person is very famous in the United States.  “Talagang sikat na sikat na celebrity with Filipino blood (A very famous celebrity with Filipino blood),” Teo said in a press conference, while announcing the final date and venue of the next Miss Universe pageant.

The reporters started their wild guessed and quickly asked if Teo was referring to Bruno Mars, the popular singer behind the hit songs “Just the Way You Are” and “Grenade.” Teo chose not to deny or confirm and just replied, “Ayokong magsalita (I’d rather not say anything).”

There is a list of other popular artists in the US who have Filipino blood. The list includes Vanessa Hudgens of “High School Musical” fame, Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, “Glee” star Darren Criss, and The Black Eyed Peas member Apl.de.Ap.

The finale of Miss Universe 2016 is scheduled to be held on 30th January 2017, and will be hosted by Steve Harvey. If sources are to be believed, a Filipino co-host will also be involved during the finale. Anyway, coming back to the real topic, who do you think will be the secret performer for the night?
