Jennifer Hawkins, Miss Universe 2004 says - “I enjoy gluten free,” which is a diet without gluten, a protein composite found in wheat, barley, etc. She has shared her diet principles saying - “I love the way it makes me feel. And I’ve found I’ve got certain allergies to certain food, so I’ve avoided tomato and nuts, which is quite annoying but otherwise I have to have antihistamines. Since I’ve avoided them, I don’t have flare-ups anymore.”

It’s not that she is totally disconnected with exercise, Hawkins maintained her figure with pilates (an exercise type). “I really enjoy pilates twice a week, and I will go for a run, maybe beach run, if I can. I love hard sand so I can wear my joggers. I think it’s so good to be out in the fresh air. Other than that I do my own sit ups and arms. I love to do lots of arm work and resistance.”

Hawkins is also fond of meditation that helps to keep her mind and body relaxed. “I do it before a big event or when you’re going through a hard time, like last year was a bit of a yucky year, and I really took it on board and it grounds you, I guess. But I found I can meditate better with movement, so I just do it with yoga and stretching.”
