Sophia Maria Osako was crowned Miss Grand Czech Republic 2023 at the finale of Miss Czech Republic 2023 held on Saturday, 13th May 2023 at Forum Karlín in the Czech capital city of Prague. Sophia, since then, has been preparing to represent her country at Miss Grand International 2023.

Sophia Maria Osako is 18 years of age and of Japanese and Czech descent. She studies political science, and volunteers at charities. Osako also played competitive sports such as basketball, football, and softball while growing up. She also took kickboxing lessons twice a week for several years. Unfortunately, after being diagnosed with Lyme disease, Sophia decided to focus more on her artistic hobbies.

Following in the footsteps of her Japanese descent, Sophia was always taught to give back to those who are in need. She stands for honesty, morality, and individuality. She strives to be herself and values authenticity because that is the truth. With the help of pageantry, she would love to help children in need, give them another chance in childhood, and a better life moving forward.

Osaka, being a national winner, would like to be an inspiration to young people who are sick or in other difficult situations and to show them that despite all, it is possible to achieve their dreams. With her stunning beauty, charming personality and strong advocacy, Sophie will definitely be a strong contender for the national crown this year.

Miss Grand International 2023, the 11th edition of Miss Grand International, will be held on 25th October 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam where Miss Grand International 2022 Isabella Menin of Brazil will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
