Yanelys Bergantiño was crowned Miss Grand Panama 2024 at the finals of Panama Grand Slam held on 9th December 2023 at Hotel Waymore. With her national title, Yanelys became the official representative of Panama at Miss Grand International 2024.

Yanelys Bergantiño is 22 years of age and has a degree in Primary Education. She is currently pursuing a degree in Special Education and a master's degree in Neuroeducation and Learning Difficulties. Yanelys likes to swim, read, ride a bicycle, play volleyball and also knows the Panamanian sign language.

With her reign, Yanelys wants to be a spokesperson for inclusive education in her country. The newly crowned Miss Grand Panama believes that everyone has the right to be educated regardless of their limitations. She has a strong advocacy, a strong personality and stunning features to make a strong impression at the international stage.

The official organization also congratulated her on her win as they wrote, “Miss Grand Panama 2024, in charge of taking our Tricolor to Myanmar and making the hearts of 4 million Panamanians beat. Today we are proud that your name is Panama. Intelligent, prepared and with a top attitude, her greatest virtue is being an empowered woman, without leaving aside the fact that she is supremely beautiful.”

Yanelys succeeds Miss Grand Panama 2023 Julia Leong who represented her country at Miss Grand International 2023 but remained unplaced. Yanelys will compete at Miss Grand International 2024, the 12th edition of the international pageant, which will be held in Yangon, Myanmar. Miss Grand International 2023 Luciana Fuster of Peru will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
