This might just be the shortest reign in the history of Miss Mundo Brasil. Yes, we are talking about Ana Luisa Castro, representative of Sergipe who was crowned Miss Mundo Brasil 2015 on the eve of June 27’ 2015 in Florianópolis. Her crown might be at risk, following the cloud of controversy which says Ana is married.
According to sources, the 23 year old model is married to a Belgian model and actor, Tanguy Backer. Marriage is against the laws and regulations of the pageant organization. The pageant organizer, Henrique Fontes has offered two choices to Ana. Either she proves that the marriage is not legal in Brazil and she can retain the crown or she has to give up the crown.
Ana Luisa is expected to respond to the organization regarding the issue and based on her answer decision would be taken. If Ana Luisa gets dethroned, Catharina Choi, who was the first runner-up will take over. This is not the first time that a beauty queen is found married. Also, the dethroning of beauty pageant winners is also not that uncommon. Recently, Miss World Zimbabwe 2015 Emily Kachote was dethroned regarding her Nude Photoshoot scandal.
Miss World 2015 is scheduled to be held on December 19’ 2015 in Sanya, China.
