Naomie Elizabeth Germain, has been crowned Miss New Mexico USA 2016 at the end of the beauty pageant held on January 24, 2016. She succeeds Miss New Mexico USA 2015 Alexis Duprey.
Germaine will have the opportunity to compete at the 2016 Miss USA Pageant where she hopes to be crowned by the reigning Miss USA Olivia Jordan from Oklahoma. Germaine is the reigning Miss Paradise Hills.
The top five finalists were: Marley Morales, Ashley Mora, Alexa Castle, Brittany Peralta and Naomie Germaine.The winner of Miss USA 2016 will go on to represent the United States in the Miss Universe competition. At the same event, Margeaux Greene was crowned Miss Teen New Mexico USA 2016 .
New Mexico has had moderate success at Miss USA. They achieved many placements in between 60’s and 80’s, but have placed only three times in the past ten years. They have produced one Miss USA, Mai Shanley in 1984.
