Miss Universe 2015 was all about confusion and wrong crowning, followed by a series of controversy and bashing. And the confusion is not just limited to the announcement of the winner, it is now about who was the third runner-up at the pageant. You all must be aware of the fact that unlike the usual announcement of runners-up and then the winner, the MU organisation this year chose to announce the top 3 winners. This left the viewers thinking who was the actual third runner-up.

Miss France, Flora Coquerel recently posted a picture of herself with a trophy that said Miss Universe 2015 third runner-up. But Monika Radulovic, Miss Australia has a new angle to reveal about the whole trophy incident. In an official statement, Monika said, “Well this is the thing – we received a piece of paper saying Top 5 and we had to sign that and receive our prize, then pick up a trophy (and I just picked one up, without even looking at it). And the people in the back room had no idea what was going on after the whole shambles of wrong winner etc.

And then I got to my room and looked and saw it said 4th runner-up! But no one at all said either of us was 4th or 3rd, I just so happened to pick up the 4th and she picked up the 3rd (which I am so upset about now, because I was there first and should have looked inside both trophies). But that’s ok, let France claim it and I am just going to ignore it on my social media and focus on the important things!!”

Hmmm, it seems like a real confusion..!! Even if it was some sort of confusion, we think that it’s time for the Miss Universe Organisation to step up and speak up on the whole runner-up uncertainty. More than the viewers or fans, the two contestants deserve to know the actual result. What do you think?
