Miss Universe 2015 was one of its kind, and perhaps one of the most memorable editions in the entire decade. The pageant went to the new owners, IMG and WME, and was found instigating an altogether new pattern with new technique and method. Apart from the crowning mishap, Miss Universe 2015 was also much talked about its retrace to the erstwhile Top 3 pattern. After a long time, Miss Universe organization was seen having three winners, unlike last few years when the organization used to award all the top five finalists with respective runner up positions.
This year, Pia Wurtzbach from Philippines was crowned as Miss Universe 2015, Ariadna Maria Gutierrez Arevalo from Colombia was adjudged as her runner up and Olivia Jordan was announced as the second runner up. But if the earlier pattern of Miss Universe had been followed, who would have been the third runner up?

It is very likely that Flora Coquerel might have been the third runner up of Miss Universe 2015. Flora Coquerel won the title of Miss France in 2014 and represented her nation at Miss World 2014. Flora had a very sturdy personality, and this can be gauged from the fact that in her previous major pageant, Miss World 2014, she was one of the Top 20 finalists at Top Model and was also an eventual winner of the interview round.

Ruling the stage with her marvelous stage presence and impressive walk, Flora was expected to shine high during the Preliminary Competition, and she did lived up to the expectations when she was summoned to complete the top five finalists spot at the finale.
An eloquent personality by intellect, it is very plausible that she must have impressed the judging panel in the preliminary interview round of the Miss Universe competition and hence was brought into spotlight during the coronation night. Prior to the finale, the owners of WME and IMG stated that they were not looking for pageant patty sham personalities, but were keen on to discover the beauties that have got the power of intellect and wisdom. Flora’s genuine demeanor truly impressed the judges.
Standing 6’ feet tall, the 21 years old beauty in her final question and answer was inquired: “Having experienced terrorism first hand yourself, what is the best way for government to combat this rising threat?” To which Flora beamingly reflected: “In my opinion, to fight terrorism, first we have to know where the problems are coming from. We have to listen to the people who are committing these attacks. So, we have to find the problem at its heart and for us French, we have to learn to be happy, to live and to be among ourselves. Thank you.”
On the other hand, her counterpart, Miss Australia, Monika Radulovic was intrigued: “Australia is taking its first step towards legalizing marijuana. Do you think that is a good idea? Why?” Monica was quite confident as she pondered: “Thank you for that wonderful question Steve. Now this topic has brought positives and negatives and is quite debated. I believe that in certain circumstances, legalizing marijuana does have definite benefits. It has been found to be really amazing in treating cancer and has really really helped those very very sick. In that circumstance, I definitely think that yes, we should, but the government should definitely weigh other options.”
While Flora’s answer was precise and to the point, Monica’s answer seemed to be a little vague and on the fence while dealing with the question, henceforth, it is very likely that Flora’s confident expressions and poise to deal with the question effectively, must have impressed the judges more, indicating that she might have won the third runner up position if earlier pattern was to get followed. Do you too believe that Flora Coquerel must have been the factual third runner up?
