The magnificent finale of Miss Universe Guam 2016 held on 8th September 2016 at Hyatt Regency Guam Hotel, Guam concluded with the crowning of Muñeka Joy Taisipic as the winner. Muñeka will now represent Guam at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant.

18 years old Muñeka is a nursing student at the University of Guam. Muñeka said that she joined the pageant “to inspire females of all ages to achieve their goals and that they can accomplish anything they set their minds to.” Defeating twelve other stunning divas, Muñeka managed to clinch the title. The beauty is blessed with exotic Guam features and has a very fresh appeal to her personality.
At the same pageant, Annalyn Buan was crowned Miss International Guam 2016. Annalyn will be representing Guam at the Miss International 2016 pageant. Marystar Welch was adjudged the first runner-up.
Apart from the title, the winner also won prizes that included a car from Guam Auto Spot, a full scholarship to Argosy University in Hawaii and $60,000 in gifts and prizes.
The Miss Universe Guam pageant is organized by the Guam Beauty Organization, which was founded in 1965.
