Moving to its finale is another pageant, Miss Cayman Islands 2017. The finale of Miss Cayman Islands 2017 is slated to be held on 25th March 2017, and at the conclusion of the pageant Miss Cayman Islands 2016 Monyque Brooks will pass on her crown to her successor. This year, 5 gorgeous finalists are vying for the prestigious opportunity to represent the country on international level.

The winner of Miss Cayman Islands 2017 will earn the right to represent the country in both Miss World as well as the Miss Universe pageant. The five finalists vying for the title will be officially introduced to the media on 4th March 2017 at the wharf. The event will also be the official sashing ceremony of the five finalists. The ceremony will provide a chance to the contestants to present themselves to the media. It will be an interactive session between the contestants and the media and the girls will get a platform to talk about their ideology and projects, and how they plan to go further in the competition.

Recently, the five finalists travelled to Cayman Brac, wherein they visited the KCCC/Tibetts Annex for the elderly on the Brac. The girls interacted with the elderly crowd and spent quality time there. The girls will make an appearance at the Sports Complex to interact with the crowd and meet their fans. The five finalists competing for the title are-

Mahalia Seymour – 22 year old Mahalia Seymour hailing from George Town district currently works at the Da Vinci Centre where she explores holistic wellness which helps individuals live longer and happier lives. 
 
Taylor Langfitt – 24 year old Taylor Langfitt hailing from West Bay is the Guest Relations Coordinator for Kimpton Seafire Resort, and has a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing, a specialization in Integrated Marketing Communications, and a minor in Tourism Management.
 
Anika Conolly – 26 year old Anika Conolly hails from West Bay and is a Chamber of Commerce Mentor, Vacation Bible School Coordinator and from 9-5pm she is a Talent Acquisition Specialist at CUC.
 
Kristin Amaya – 24 year old Kristin Amaya also hailing from George Town has 1 more year until she completes a bachelors degree in Business Management. She is also an aspiring entrepreneur.
 
Chante Smith – 20 year old Chante Smith hails from West Bat and is the title holder of Miss Festival Queen. Chante is also pursuing an education in Sports Management.

At the coronation of Miss Cayman Islands 2017, in addition to announcing the winners, a series of Special Awards will also be given under the following categories -

Miss Photogenic

Miss Congeniality

Best Smile
