The 22nd edition of the Miss Slovensko pageant is here. Miss Slovakia or Miss Slovensko is one of the most prestigious beauty pageants of Slovakia. Miss Slovakia was established in the year 1993 to select the country’s representative to the Miss World beauty pageant. The first runner up competes at the Miss International beauty pageant while the second runner up represents Slovakia at the Miss Supranational beauty pageant.
Miss Slovensko 2017 pageant has kicked in with the announcement of 13 finalists who will be vying for the coveted title. Now some of the finalists are renowned models while some come from non-modelling background. This year, the pageant has adopted a different style of selecting the finalists, by organising regional casting. The casting was done online, wherein the girls were asked to send a 1-2minute video recordings of them.
About 100 aspirants signed up for the title and 95 semi finalists were shortlisted. 13 finalists have been ultimately shortlisted to compete for the title. The 13 finalists of Miss Slovensko are -

Miss Slovensko was established in 1993 after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. From the year 1993 to 1995, the winner of Miss Slovensko went to Miss Universe and the runner-ups went to Miss World and Miss International. In the year 1996, Oklamcák Production took over the Miss Slovensko franchise. Currently the Oklamcák Production agency and TV JOJ along with the Forza Production House organize the most prestigious beauty pageant in the Slovakia, Miss Slovensko.
