The grand finale of Miss Russia 2015, full of glamour and entertainment, concluded with the crowning of Sofia Nikitchuk as Miss Russia 2015. Yulia Alipova, the Miss Russia 2014, crowned Sofia as her successor at the finals. Sofia will now represent Russia at the Miss Universe 2015 international pageant and may also compete at Miss World 2015.
Sofia clinched the victory after a series of rounds that included contestants walking the ramp in their swimsuits and evening gowns and finally answering the questions of the jury in Q&A round. She defeated 49 other contestants to win the title.
A total of fifty beautiful Russian girls competed for the coveted title and beating all the odds Sofia Nikitchuk emerged as the winner. Sofia is 21 years old and hails from Yekaterinburg. Sofia has always had a creative bent of mind; she is an extremely talented person. Sofia has keen interest in music and loves to play the piano. This immensely talented beauty queen also excels at academics. Sofia Nikitchuk is a student of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts at the Ural Federal University. She graduated from music school. She is proud of her education and wants to finish her master’s degree as well.
The jury for the grand finale comprised of Regina von Flemming (CEO of a publishing house), Igor Chapurin (Designer), Alexander Oleshko (Actor), Oksana Fedorova (Miss Russia 2001 & Miss Universe 2002), Tatiana Kotova (Miss Russia 2006) and Ksenia Sukhinova (Miss Russia 2007 & Miss World 2008).
Vladislava Evtushenko was adjudged the first runner up, while Anastasia Naydyonova finished as the second runner up. Remaining Top 10 finalists were Darya Norkina, Ekaterina Feoktistova, Olya Krasikova, Maria Tuguskina, Elena Roshal, Elena Boyko and Lizaveta Matveeva.
