The Miss Globe 2016 finale concluded on 25th November 2016 with the crowning of Dimple Patel of India as the winner. At the same pageant, Filipino bet Nichole Manalo was titled third runner-up. Nichole was a mega favourite for the crown and many fans were disappointed when she failed to make it as the winner.

The Pinoy beauty returned to the Philippines early Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Nichole’s sister Bianca Manalo, who joined her for the pageant in Albania, also returned to the Philippines with her. She looked tired because of the trip, but at the same time said that she enjoyed every bit of the trip.

Nichole’s title as the third runner-up was not revealed during the coronation night. The organizers later announced that Manalo is the third runner-up and also explained that her name was not announced during the finale night because the "the emcee forgot to take the third and fourth runner-up envelopes."

Therefore, a delayed coronation was held for Miss Philippines and fourth runner-up Miss South Africa. Manalo expressed her joy and thankfulness to her fans during the coronation and said, "To all my kababayans, actually I'm very much humbled to receive this crown. But what I'm grateful about is knowing that you have believed in me and you were there with me through this journey.”
