Miss Ecuador 2016, the 62nd edition of Miss Ecuador pageant, was held on March 12' 2015 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Connie Jiménez has been crowned Miss Ecuador 2016 at the end of the splendid finale held on March 12’ 2016 in Machala, El Oro, Ecuador. Now, she will represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 2016.  She succeeds Francesca Cipriani Miss Ecuador 2015 from Guayas, as Miss Ecuador 2016.

At the same event, Bianka Fuentes Dieb was adjudged first runner-up; Ivanna Abad placed second runner-up,Carmen Iglesias was adjudged third runner-up, Yoselyn Noroña was titled fourth runner-up; and Maria Isabel Piñeyro finished as fifth runner-up.

Francesca Keyco Cipriani Burgos (Miss Eucador 2015), Daniela Armijos Cordero (Miss International Ecuador 2015), and Maria Emilia Cevallos Cuesta (Miss Supranational Ecuador 2015), crowned their successors at the conclusion of the 2016 finale.

This year, a total of 21 stunning beauties were shortlisted to compete for the coveted title of Miss Ecuador 2016. The 21 finalists of Miss Ecuador 2016 were –

This year the Miss Ecuador 2016 pageant was open to all the Ecuadorians who resided inside as well as outside the country. Miss Ecuador pageant commenced in 1955, when Leonor Carcache Rodríguez became the first ever Miss Ecuador and went on to represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 1955. Since 1955, the pageant has been held annually with representatives from several provinces that make up Ecuador competing for the title of Miss Ecuador.
