Miss Universe Malaysia 2016 also referred to as The Next Miss Universe Malaysia 2016 was held at the Palace of the Golden Horses Hotel on January 30' 2016.

Fourteen (14) finalists from all over Malaysia were selected to compete. Finalists in alphabetical order are Alicia Tan, Ariessa Lam, Cindy Ng, Dhivya Dhyana Suppiah, Hazelin Ng, Jennifer Ling, Kiran Jassal, Lina Soong, Loveena Ruben, Nisha Sema, Rema Rao, Chow Shiat Teen, Swarna Naidu and Yeoh Yen Nee.

Kiran Jassal was crowned as Miss Universe Malaysia 2016 by the outgoing titleholder, Vanessa Tevi Kumares in the glistening coronation gala held on January 30’ 2016 after beating 13 other crown contenders in the Palace of the Golden Horses Hotel. Dhivya Dhyana was adjudged as the first runner-up while Lina Soong was titled as the second runner-up, Swarna Naidu was titled third runner-up and Nisha Sema finished as the fourth runner-up at the same event. The newly crowned beauty queen received RM 50,000 and sponsored prizes worth over RM200, 000.

Mumo national director Carey Ng said: “The finalists should strive to be the epitome of beauty while redefining it. They will be equipped with tools from our panel of experts in beauty, fashion and many more to  take on the challenges before them.”
