Miss South Africa 2016 : Info

Miss South Africa 2016 finale was held on March 19' 2016, and Ntandoyenkosi Kunene was crowned as the winner. Ntandoyenkosi Kunene will represent South Africa at the Miss World 2016 pageant. At the same event, Elizabeth Molapo was adjudged First Runner-up, and Tayla Skye Robinson was titled Second Runner-up.

The pageant began with auditions across the country and twenty-four (24) semifinalists were selected, a list which narrowed down to twelve (12) finalists who are competed for the prestigious title. The finalists came from different corners of South Africa – five from Gauteng, two from Easter Cape, two from Western Cape, two from Mpumalanga, and one from Free State.

At the conclusion of the pageant, the reigning Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie crowned Ntandoyenkosi as her successor. The 12 finalists who competed (in alphabetical order) are - Elizabeth Molapo, Felicia Lwazi Muwayi, Luyolo Mngonyama, Marciel Hopkins, Mikaela Oosthuizen, Ntandoyenkosi Kunene, Reabetswe Rambi Sechoaro, Ronette Chambers, Sarah Botes, Schane Venter, Sharon Rose Lehlohonolo Khumalo and Tayla Skye Robinson.

Every aspect of the Miss South Africa pageant supports the ideals and attributes of today’s woman – a woman who has her own goals and views of her role within society. These ideals are emphasised by the associated charitable causes which largely benefit from Miss South Africa’s patronage.
