The Miss Earth Sri Lanka 2016 pageant concluded with the crowning of 20 years old Dimanthi Edirirathne as the winner of Miss Earth Sri Lanka 2016 held on August 31. Dimanthi will now represent Sri Lanka at the grand slam pageant of Miss Earth 2016. The grand coronation night was televised live on Deerana TV.

There were a total of twelve finalists who competed at the pageant - Nimesha Ekanayake, Chathu Kaushalya, Dilki Wijerathne, Ranmini Perera, Shashini Ratnasiri, Thilini Anuradha, Chathuri Supeshala, Shalindi Wandana, Shenali Wickramasinghe, Janani Janadari, Revani Silva and Dimanthi Edirirathne.

At the same pageant, Janani Janadari was adjudged first runner-up and Chathu Kaushalya finished as second runner-up. The finale of Miss Earth Sri Lanka was a night of glamour and panache with all the twelve contestants sashaying the ramp in different segments including evening gown, swimsuit, cocktail dress and Question and Answer rounds.

The finale of Miss Earth Sri Lanka 2016 was also graced by the reigning Miss Earth Angelia Gabrena Ong. Angelia toured and travelled Sri Lanka, at the same time fulfilling her duties as the Miss Earth 2015. She was present at the final gala night and doubled the charm of the night, with her presence.
