Miss Thailand World 2016 finale was held on May 28’ 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand. There were a total of 30 contestants who competed for the title of Miss Thailand World 2016. At the end of the gala coronation night of Miss World Thailand 2016 held on May 28’ 2016, Jinnita Buddee has been crowned as the Miss World Thailand 2016 and will now represent Thailand at the Miss World 2016 pageant to be held later this year. Jinnita Buddee was crowned by the outgoing queen and her predecessor, Thunchanok Moonnilta Miss World Thailand 2015.

One unique concept about the pageant is that, the runner-up/ semi finalist with Chinese ancestry will go on to Miss Chinese International 2015 pageant. The reigning Miss Thailand World is Thunchanok Moonnilta. Thunchanok Moonnilta represented Thailand at the Miss World 2015 pageant, however, remained unplaced.
The highest placement of Thailand at Miss World was in the year 1989, when Prathumrat Woramali was titled as the third Runner-up. Till date, Thailand has managed two titles for continental queens in the year 1989 and 1992.
