Miss Grand Indonesia commenced in the year 2018 with its first edition finale held on 21st July 2018. The National Director for the pageant is Dikna Faradiba, who was the winner of Miss Tourism Indonesia 2016 pageant and represented Indonesia in Miss Tourism International 2016 pageant held in Malaysia.

…………………….. was crowned Miss Grand Indonesia 2018 at the conclusion of the finale of the pageant, and will now represent Indonesia in Miss Grand International 2018 to be held in Myanmar.
Prior to the launch of Miss Grand Indonesia, usually one of the runners-up of Puteri Indonesia pageant used to represent Indonesia in Miss Grand International pageant. Representatives from Indonesia to the earlier editions of Miss Grand International beauty pageant were –
Miss Grand Indonesia 2017 - Dea Rizkita, who was the third runner-up in Puteri Indonesia 2017 pageant and was placed Top 10 in Miss Grand International 2017.
Miss Grand Indonesia 2016 - Ariska Putri Pertiwi, who was the third runner-up in Puteri Indonesia 2016 pageant and went on to win Miss Grand International 2016.
Miss Grand Indonesia 2015 - Yolanda Viyanditya Remetwa, who was the first runner-up in Miss Tourism Indonesia 2014 pageant.
Miss Grand Indonesia 2014 - Margenie Winarti, who was crowned Miss Earth Air Indonesia 2014 and was placed Top 10 in Miss Grand International 2014.
Miss Grand Indonesia 2013 - Novia Indriani Mamuaja, who was the third runner-up in Puteri Indonesia 2013 pageant.
