Miss Universe Myanmar (previously known as Miss Myanmar) started in the year 2013 to select Myanmar's representative for Miss Universe international beauty pageant.
Prior to that, Myanmar competed in Miss Universe in the years 1959-1961, when the national pageant known as Miss Burma used to send Myanmar’s representatives to Miss Universe. However, the Miss Burma pageant survived only till 1961, as in the year 1962 the national pageant was banned by the Government. Myanmar’s representatives for Miss Universe Pageant 1959, 1960 & 1961 were Than Than Aye, Myint Myint May and Khin Myint Myint. Miss Burma 1960, Myint Myint May, was awarded with ‘Miss Amity’ at Miss Universe 1960 pageant.
In 2013, Daw Soe Yu Wai obtained the license for Miss Universe and announced Myanmar’s entry into the Miss Universe pageant once again. US-educated 25-year-old Moe Set Wine became the first Miss Universe Myanmar after the commencement of the pageant in 2013, and was selected to represent Myanmar in the Miss Universe pageant for the first time since 1961. She, however, remained unplaced at the Miss Universe 2013 pageant.
Miss Universe Myanmar 2019
Miss Universe Myanmar 2019 is scheduled to be held on 31st May 2019 with 27 provincial winners competing for the national title.
Miss Universe Myanmar 2018
Hnin Thway Yu Aung was crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2018 on 1st October 2017 and represented Myanmar in Miss Universe 2018 held in Bangkok, Thailand.
Miss Universe Myanmar 2017
Zun Than Sin was crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2017 on 6th October 2016 and represented Myanmar in Miss Universe 2017 held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. She was also the first runner-up in Miss International Myanmar 2013 pageant and Top 5 in Miss Universe Myanmar 2014.
Miss Universe Myanmar 2016
Htet Htet Htun was crowned Miss Universe 2016 on 3rd October 2015 at the finale of Miss Universe Myanmar 2015 when Miss Universe Myanmar 2015 was also crowned. She was also adjudged the second runner-up in Miss World Myanmar 2014. She represented Myanmar in Miss Universe 2016 held in Manila, Philippines and won the Best National Costume award at the finale. Her costume, which weighed 40 kilograms, featured the Shwedagon Pagoda and the Bagan temples, which represents the princess of figures of Myanmar traditional puppetry.
Miss Universe Myanmar 2015
May Barani Thaw was crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2015 on 3rd October 2015 and went on to compete in Miss Universe 2015 which was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. She was also a roommate of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach while in Las Vegas.
She was previously adjudged the first runner-up at the Miss International Myanmar 2014 beauty pageant, and after winner withdrew from participation in Miss International 2014, she represented Myanmar at the finale of Miss International 2014, which was held in Tokyo, Japan.

Sharr Htut Eaindra was crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2014 on 26th July 2014 and represented Myanmar in Miss Universe 2014, the finale whereof was held in Miami, Florida, USA.
Miss Universe Myanmar 2013
Moe Set Wine was crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2013 and represented Myanmar in Miss Universe 2013 beauty pageant held in Moscow, Russia. With her participation in Miss Universe, she became the first woman to represent the country in the competition since 1961.
