Miss World organization, through their official social media, announced the Top 10 finalists for the Beauty with a Purpose at the gala dinner held on 3rd March 2024 in Mumbai, India. One of these delegates will win the Best BWAP project at the finale. Let’s take a look at all the Top 10 finalists projects for the 71st Miss World.

Nursena Say of Turkey won a spot in the Top 10 with the ‘Yuva Project’. Yuva Project is a building design laboratory for disasters, prioritizing the health of humans and nature and based on ecological, modular architectural principles. As an architect, Nursena started her mission in the wake of the earthquake in Turkey.

She embarked on a mission to make a difference. As a staunch advocate for sustainable architecture, my journey led me to Hatay/Samandag, where the earthquake's destructive impact was most pronounced. She put all her efforts into creating wooden sanctuaries for earthquake survivors, driven by a dual purpose: preserving both humanity and nature.

Feeling proud of all the difference she has made through her project, Nursena spoke, “It is with great honor that I share my Beauty with a Purpose mission with you on my journey to Miss World. I am both emotional and exhilarated. For two years, I have strived to do my best for my country and humanity.”

“I extend endless thanks to humanitarian aid organizations I have worked with, who tirelessly work to make the world a better place. Every person I have met, every child I have touched, has shaped me into the person I am today. I am grateful for everything. I hope my Miss World journey will be the beginning of even more beautiful projects. I love you all”, she added.

The 71st Miss World will be crowned on 9th March 2024 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India where Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska of Poland will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The event will be live-streamed by Sonyliv India, starting at 7:30 PM local time.
