Miss World organization, through their official social media, announced the results of the Head-to-Head Challenge as the five winners won a spot in the Top 40 for the finale. These winners represented their Beauty with a Purpose projects at the finale of Head-to-Head Challenge held on 23rd February 2024 at The Summit Room in Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Nokutenda Marumbwa of Zimbabwe made it to the final Top 40 by winning the Head-to-Head Challenge. Nokutenda’s advocacy aligns with United Nations sustainable development goal number 2- Zero Hunger and Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 by fostering sustainable agricultural practices. Nokutenda’s advocacy is personal, having witnessed hunger in her early days which fuels her passion.

To pursue food security and hunger eradication, Nokutenda spoke about two things – immediate relief and sustainable agriculture. In the first step, lacking the financial resources, she used food items from her own house to eight households and an orphanage. With time, she helped 62 more vulnerable households in her community and also joined the Zibusiso Foundation in their pursuit to giving food to a children’s home.

Nokutenda, understanding that the journey is bigger than just one person, then formed ThriveSustain Aid Network – a foundation that echoes the commitment to ensuring food security and hunger eradication, planting seeds of resilience, and making a lasting impact.

On winning the spot in Top 40 and creating a change, Nokutenda took to her official social media as she wrote, “I spoke on my advocacy Food Security and sustainable agriculture and I am very happy to have represented my country well . I was among the 5Winners for The Miss World 71st Head to Head Challenge!!! after years of Zimbabwe not making any placement at Miss World I made an automatic entry to Top 40!”

The 71st Miss World will be crowned on 9th March 2024 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India where Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska of Poland will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The event will be live-streamed by Sonyliv India, starting at 7:30 PM local time.
