Miss World organization, through their official social media, announced the results of the Head-to-Head Challenge as the five winners won a spot in the Top 40 for the finale. These winners represented their Beauty with a Purpose projects at the finale of Head-to-Head Challenge held on 23rd February 2024 at The Summit Room in Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Ada Eme of Nigeria made it to the final Top 40 by winning the Head-to-Head Challenge. Through her project ‘Health for All’, Ada advocated for ‘Schistosomiasis’ which is a disease caused by parasitic worms. Ada spoke about how her family and hundreds of other families in the tropical regions of the world fear this disease due to improper diagnosis or inaccessibility to treatment.

“300,000 children die from schistosomiasis annually in Africa. They die from a disease that can be easily treated/prevented all because of the lack of access to the medication and limited information on this disease. It is my joy and pride to be able to not only identify the problem, but take action”, Ada wrote as she presented her project on her social media account.

Ada also spoke about her efforts to help people, through the help of her sponsor, the Honorable Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives. Her BWAP project helped hundreds of children in affected communities in Abia State who benefitted from the treatment exercise and preventive measures were also put in place to contain the spread.

The 71st Miss World will be crowned on 9th March 2024 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, India where Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska of Poland will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The event will be live-streamed by Sonyliv India, starting at 7:30 PM local time.a
