Aletxa Mueses from Dominican Republic becomes the first candidate to enter the Top 40 slot by winning the sports competition in Miss World 2017. She will not be adjudged on the basis of Head to Head challenge and via judges’ round now.

Aletxa was representing the Yellow Team in the Fastrack challenge and emerged as a champion in all the rounds of this sports challenge. Proving herself the best in Fastrack round, she nailed her Head to Head challenge as well. In fact, according to our review of Group 7 Head to Head challenge, Alexta was placed on the top spot with her strong opinions and her way of involving everyone while giving answers, where her final answer was full of conviction and confidence.

Trailing behind is Alanna Matamaru Smith from Cook Islands bagging second position and Helina Hewlett from British Virgin Islands at the third position.

The first runner-up, Alanna shared a beautiful message on Instagram where she said, “Tried my best but came out second best to the Dominican Republic. I take my hat off to you the Miss Dominican Republic; you definitely brought out your game. Still very fortunate though to get the best team award "Red team, the best team."

The contestants are eagerly participating in all the challenges taking place in Sanya, China and it would be interesting to see who will whisk away the crown of 67th Miss World competition.
