Probably one of the most versatile contestants in Miss Universe this year is Francesca Mifsud. She was crowned Miss Universe Malta 2018 during the grand finale of the event held on 13th July 2018. Francesca then earned the right to represent Malta in Miss Universe 2018. She was crowned by Miss Universe Malta 2017 Tiffany Pisani.
This overachiever from Malta is 25 years of age and is out to take the crown home for her nation. Since she was a young girl, she had her heart set into becoming a lawyer and her hardworking and determination helped her attain a degree in Law and now she is pursuing her Master's in Law at the University of Malta. Now she wants to become a Criminal Prosecutor, and no one can stop her from attaining her dreams.
Francesca is the perfect combination of beauty with brains as she is no stranger to the pageant world. She was a participant in Miss Universe Malta 2016 where she was able to secure a position in the Top 15 during the finale and also win the award of Best Photo Model. If Francesca wins the crown, she will advocate and raise awareness in issues related to sexual offences with a campaign that she started, named “Stand Up.”
Francesca was also crowned Best Model of the World Malta 2016 and the Miss Photogenic award. She then went on to represent her nation in its international edition named Best Model of the World 2016 where she won the award of Best Face. Francesca was also crowned Miss Intercontinental Malta 2017.
Apart from being so affluent in the beauty pageant, Francesca is very active in life as she has been playing basketball since the past 12 years. She was so good at her game that she was selected in the national basketball team. The 175 cm tall beauty has also won medals in the sport.
As if Francesca’s academics, pageants and athleticism were not enough, she also has experience in Muay Thai. During her free time, she enjoys travelling and at such a young age, she has already visited 23 countries.
