12 Dec 2018 | Angelique Reyes

One of the most anticipated delegates this year is Miss Universe Philippines 2018 Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray, and the reason varies from her beauty to her experience and her intelligence. The 24-year-old was crowned Binibining Pilipinas 2018 on 18th March 2018 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines.

Catriona was crowned by none other than Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters who was one of the Top 10 finalists in Miss Universe 2017. This means Catriona will have to live up to the standards of her predecessor during the finale of Miss Universe 2018 to be held on 17th December 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand.

This Filipina beauty was born with a mixed heritage, with a Scottish-born Australian father and a Filipino mother. She was very active in sports during her adolescent years, indulging in various types of extracurricular and sports activities like art, drama, karate, singing and dancing.

Don’t pick a fight with her as Catriona has a black belt in Choi Kwang-Do martial arts. And don’t dare to challenge her on a singing competition as she was the lead singer of her school's jazz band. Now she is a professional and commercial model.

She also won the Multimedia Award, Talent Award (2nd place) and Top 5 (Beauty with a Purpose Project).

With so many achievements and accolades, she was bound to become one of Angelopedia’s Top 20 favourite delegates for the crown. She will surely represent her nation with a bang during the finale!
