Defeating 29 other contestants during the finale of Miss World Thailand 2018, we have Nicolene Pichapa Limsnukan, the representative of Thailand in Miss World 2018 to be held on 8th December 2018 in Sanya, China. This 20-year-old beauty is a very strong delegate this year as she has been competitive, amicable and brilliant throughout, which is why she is one of Angelopedia’s Top 20 favourite contestants for the crown.
Studying to become a major in Business Administration, this 170 tall powerhouse is out to get the crown and there is no stopping her. With a heart of gold, Nicolene did not go unacknowledged for the contribution that she gave through volunteering as she received the 'President's Volunteer Service Award' from former American President Barack Obama himself! She considers this feat as one of her proudest moments.
The beauty queen that she is, Nicolene is also no stranger to the pageant world as she was a participant in Miss Universe Thailand 2018 where she was able to secure a position in the Top 10 during the finale. Her delegacy was fruitful as she then went on to become the national representative competing for the crown of Miss World this year. Nicolene was also crowned Miss Teen Asia 2015 in the past!
Nicolene is bilingual with the ability to speak fluently in Thai and English languages. To keep herself fit, she likes to practice Thai Kick Boxing and swimming and it is working wonders for her because she looks very fit and healthy. Nicolene also enjoys acting, reading and is particularly fond of Colour Guard, which involves synchronised dance movements with flags, sabres, rifles and air blades.
Nicolene’s personal motto is 'Every morning we are born again. What we do today matters most'. This motto shows that she is hardworking and determined to prove herself each passing day. It is this dedication and strength that Nicolene holds which makes her a viable candidate for such a prestigious and rewarding title.
Miss World Thailand was held on 15th September 2018 at the Palladium Hall, The Berkeley Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand and the conclusion of the event saw the crowning of Nicolene by her predecessor Miss Thailand World 2017 Milkey Phatlada. Thailand is yet to win the title of Miss World. The closest this nation has come to the crown was in the year 1989 when Miss Thailand World 1989 Prathumrat Woramali was awarded the position of 3rd runner-up during the finale of Miss World 1989.
It will be no surprise if Nicolene manages to win the crown as she has all the makings of a Miss World titleholder, and who knows, she might even change the course of history and become the first ever woman from Thailand to win the title!
