The Miss World Somalia organisation has opened the applications for this year’s edition of the competition. The winner of Miss World Somalia 2022 will succeed and will be crowned by Miss World Somalia 2021 Khadija Omar.

Aspiring ladies can now go ahead with their candidature by registering on the official mail id of the organisation. So far, following parameters are to be kept in mind before applying and to be eligible –

One should be between 18 to 27 years of age

Required height is 165 cm and above, to establish candidature

Further details will be conveyed upon successful registration. If you would like to represent Somalia at the next Miss World edition, then here is your chance! The deadline to apply is 30th May 2022.

Last year, Khadija Omar was appointed as the national representative by the pageant organization. It was Somalia’s first ever delegation at the international event. Omar created history by becoming the first ever hijab wearing contestant at the competition.

She made her country proud by securing a placement in the Top 13 at Miss World 2021, which was held at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico on 16th March, 2022. She stood at 12th position, standing between delegations of nations like Philippines and Vietnam (well known as beauty power houses in the pageant world).
